News flash

Just round the corner for Interhash 2018 and we would like to announce the following:

Online Registration is Now Re-Opened. Please contact us on if you are facing any dificulties

We are almost there to the start of Interhash 2018 and like to let all hashers know of the following:

I’m sure you would have followed the news that we had 2 natural disasters within a space of 9 days (back to back) , first was cyclone Josie followed by Cyclone Keni, both of whom affected several parts of Fiji, including Nadi, Lautoka and other western regions

This was a temporary setback for our Hash team in setting up the runs etc but we still have the time. We are almost out of the cyclone season and hopefully drier and cooler days/nights will start settling in

End of May is a super time for hashing and that’s why we chose those dates. Everyone is working overtime to restore infrastructure damaged and I can confidently say that given another week or two we’ll be back on track, even stronger

None of the hotels and resorts suffered any major damages and all the tourist attractions are intact.

My committee is working full time with all the stakeholders to ensure that we live up to the promise made – the best ever Interhash. It’s the 21st Anniversary that you’ll no doubt enjoy to the fullest, from the time of arrival to departure

Paradise Beverages is one of the major sponsors who are the brewers of Fiji Bitter and Fiji Gold apart from many other drinks.

Prouds Duty Free

We have also secured other sponsors one of whom is one of the leading Duty Free outlets in Fiji. Prouds Duty Free will offer you special discounts on arrival and departure as well as from all their outlets in town and all the major resorts and hotels. All you have to do is to tell them know  you are part of Interhash 2018

Welcome on arrival

We’ll welcome you at the airport on arrival as you walk out of customs and help you to your hotels some of whom have courtesy buses. Taxis are relatively cheap and most distances travelled will cost approx. US$5.00-10.00

Of course we’ll have courtesy buses from hotels to the main venue ie Prince Charles Park and return for all the 4 days which includes the RDR. Buses will have special labels to be easily identified

Red Dress Run

RDR has attracted just over 400 so far and we can still accept few more. We’ll leave for Lautoka City for the RDR a bit earlier by 12 noon from Prince Charles Park since we are being hosted by Lautoka City Council for refreshments (light lunch) at the famous and only Botanical Garden in the Western Division. So 1-2pm will be lunch and tour of the gardens before we leave for the start of the RDR at approx. 2.15pm. It’s an easy track of approx.8km meandering through many of the historical sites of Lautoka so you see them all in this memorable event

Friday is a free day but several chapters are organizing special events namely Hamersley Hash from Mercure Hotel and a ladies only lunch excursion at Sofitel Resort. The opening program mind you starts at 5pm with a spectacular performance by Skydive Fiji. You have to be at the venue by that time. Fiji’s Prime Minister will be the Chief Guest of Honor

Interhash Souvenir Magazine

If anyone has some outstanding photos to be included, shoot them across to us. The magazine as usual will have all the details of Interhash 2018, run sites to choose from etc etc

Hash Acts

You are welcome to perform on stage on 26th or  27th so let us know if you wish to do so

Down Down Competition

This will be on Sat 26th so get prepared and let us know if you are keen to challenge for the trophy

On on and see you all soon

Dr Raju, Executive Chairman

Red Dress Run is attracting good numbers and we’ll close registration once we have reached 250 (so far close to  220). It will be the best Red Dress Run ever, sightseeing of Lautoka, the historical Sugar City, botanical gardens, sugar mill, free bus transfers, fodder, drinks and entertainment at it’s best

4th May 2017

“The main venue identified and confirmed is PRINCE CHARLES PARK which is in the heart of Nadi Town
There are 4 hotels within a short walking distance of not more than 5 minutes and others scattered all around taking approx. 12 minutes in a bus or taxis which includes all of the hotels in Denarau Island, Martintar, Wailoaloa and Namaka (near the airport)
Check out the rates with our official tour agents Original Green Tour who will be happy to book your accommodation at special discounted rates for hashers
Prince Charles Park will be the main event centre, conveniently located next to the popular market and bus stand. Shuttle Buses will be connecting all the hotels and resorts regularly at intervals of 30minutes
Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa will remain as a back up venue for registration etc”

20th March 2017

We are yet to determine or finalise the main conference hotel or venue for registration, voting, trade expo etc. Newer hotels to be declared open along the famous beaches in Nadi (like that in Bali or Waikiki) is keeping us guessing

Allow us a couple of weeks to make the final choice – the best location with best LOCAL RATES that can be offered to all the budget hashers. Original Green Tours (OGT) is working hard with ALL the hotels and resorts in Nadi and nearby areas. See page on “Accommodation”

OGT and Transport Committee is working hard on a package to run regular bus services connecting all the hotels to take you to all of the activities and most will not take more than 15  minutes from A to B to C …..with no traffic congestion or minimal if any and in a clean pollution free atmosphere, blue skies……
